Removing barriers to innovation — increasing the discoverability, use and impact of Australia's research outputs.

Since the development of the F.A.I.R. Policy Statement in 2016 there have been substantial developments in open access and FAIR infrastructure, both regionally and globally. The next phase of work on the FAIR statement is therefore focussed on its implementation and that is being coordinated by a newly formed Steering Group.

We welcome expressions of support for this statement as we seek to make F.A.I.R. access an integral part of Australia's national research and innovation framework.
